Mindfulness Emergency Kit for your senses

You can’t always choose where you might get anxious, stressed and disengaged with the current moment. And you don’t always have lots of time to take to rewind and feel like yourself again. From my own experience, I have got very overwhelmed out and about over small things and my problem solving skills seem to go out the door. So I put together this mindfulness emergency kit for myself to assist me in feeling back to myself quicker.

Mindfulness of your senses

Using your senses is a great way to feel engaged and have a clear mind. Focusing on your senses and work a treat. All these items can easily be kept in your bag, desk and phone.

Scent

Each morning I walk downstairs to my lounge room, I know will smell a delightful smell from my diffuser which helps me feel more in the moment and aware where I am. Using these scents is great to enjoy and think about the scent. It’s crucial to find scents you enjoy. If you are up to it, spending sometime in a department or speciality store smelling diffusers, perfumes or even flowers could surprise you and be worth it.
