Your guide to being a good friend to your single friends

So your girlfriends are single and you are happily in a relationship with your special person. When you catch-up with your single friend and share with each other about what you’ve been upto, you can’t help but include stories where your partner were involved.

I caught up with my friend, Meg to hear what she had to say on this topic. And it didn’t take long for her to list off the many things that she is sick of being asked just because she is a woman in her twenties and single. So I thought I would learn how to make sure I could avoid her this annoyance each time we catch-up. Maybe there is a thing or two hear that might help your have a better friendship with your single friends.

Things we need to stop saying to Single Ladies

• You will find your one when you’re not looking.

• You'll be next.

• So is there someone special in your life?

• Who is your date...

• How on Earth are you single?

• Don't you wish you had someone to snuggle with?

• You’re too picky. Your standards must be too high.

Five things you could say to your single friends this Valentine's Day?

• What do you want in a relationship?

• Do you have any special plans this week?

• Or just anything else that would be a usual conversation between you two.
